How to control circumstances in Life

How to control circumstances in Life and how to enjoy every moment of it.

Every walk of life we encounter with several  choices. Some of these choices lead us to happy and joyful moments where as some lead us to tough situations. When things go wrong, many of us blame others for the events, situations and circumstances in life.

We are totally responsible for our own life. This is the foundation we must embrace if we want to enjoy and control circumstances.

People who take complete responsibility for their lives experience joy and control of circumstances. They are able to make choices because they understand that they are responsible for their choices. Indeed, even when events that are not under your control, go awry, you can, at least, determine how you will react to the event. You can make an event a disaster or you can use it as an opportunity to learn, to grow, to cherish your faith, to hold loved ones close.

How to Take Responsibility for Your Life
The most important aspect of taking responsibility for your life is to acknowledge that your life is your responsibility. No one can live your life for you. You are in charge. No matter how hard you try to blame others for the events of your life, each event is the result of choices you made and are making. Listen to the little voice in your head. And, observe yourself talking with coworkers, family members, and friends. Do you hear yourself taking responsibility or placing blame?

Listen to the voice in your head. Eliminate blame; eliminate excuses. If the blame track or the excuse track plays repeatedly in your mind, you are shifting responsibility for your decisions and life to others.

Second, listen to yourself when you speak. In your conversation, do you hear yourself blame others for things that don’t go exactly as you want? Do you find yourself pointing fingers at your coworkers or your upbringing, your parent’s influence, the amount of money that you make, or your spouse? Are you making excuses for goals unmet or tasks that missed their deadlines? If you can hear your blaming patterns, you can stop them.

Third, if an individual you respect supplies feedback
that you make excuses and blame others for your woes, take the feedback seriously. Control your defensive reaction and explore examples and deepen your understanding with the coworker or friend. People who responsibly consider feedback attract much more feedback.

Be responsible and see wonders happening in your life

Salient points of Steve Jobs Speech at Stanford

Salient points of Steve Jobs Speech at Stanford

- Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

- The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

- It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

- If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.

- No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.

- Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Its been more than 3 months that i have written a blog entry heartfully. I really felt i should write it today.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

How the experiences of positive individuals change the way we think about life !!

Today, i happened to talk to one of my friend. He incidentally forwarded me a video link.
Its the  speech by Steve Jobs, CEO&Co-founder of Apple at  Stanford Commencement in 2005.
Truely Inspirational.

I know for sure, i have been suffering from pressure, worry and concerns about life. How sensitively it touches, when we happened to spend / listen to the words of truely inspiring people.

Well. its all started with the speech. How we should look at life. How to take things. The beginning , Love, Departure and Death. All were very carefully conveyed to the youth.

If you want to view the Speech, you can see above.

There are some Salient points that touched me in his speech. Motivated me.
I will mention couple of interesting statements from his speech in the next post.

Happy Independence Day
First of all , Happy Independence Day.

Today, India celebrates its 60th independence day. Well,  look back sixty years. How many challenges India faced, how many people died, how many freedom fighters fought united for the noble cause of providing us FREEDOM and  getting independence from British rule.

Most  of us ( except our Granpa ) know their sacrifices through our Text Books itself. The freedom that we are enjoying today is a beautiful gift. Lets pledge ourselves to utilize this freedom for our growth, for our people and for our country.
